All customers and potential customers of one or more of the Utility Services provided by the Department of Public Utilities of the City of Orrville, Ohio, shall be subject to the provisions of this policy

COSIGNER POLICY

To maintain a current and accurate record of cosigners and their respective status in relation to the applicant.

COSIGNER PROCEDURE

A cosigner by definition must meet the following criteria:

1. Must agree to cosign for the applicant for services to be received at the accompanying address

2. Own property served by Orrville Utilities, and receive a bill

3. Agree to be responsible for any and all unpaid utility service related obligations of the applicant that might be incurred during this signed for service period.Failure of any of the above criteria, under any circumstances within the first three years of service, will result in the applicant being sent a letter requesting a new cosigner or a deposit.

Failure of any of the above criteria, under any circumstances after three years of service, will have no residual effect on the applicant. A new cosigner or deposit will not be required. The only exception will be if the applicant has been disconnected due to nonpayment of a bill within the last three year period.
